All that being said, this sport is incredibly fun! While it is no daisy walk, it provides opportunities to learn about history and to bond with people from various backgrounds. Below you can find some general information about armor and weapons.
THE LEGACY OF YOUR ARMOR
Steel Forged Knights' Armor
13th to 16th Century
Plate armor evolved from chain mail, with various intermediary styles of armor being worn from the mid-13th century CE (Common Era). By the second quarter of the 14th century CE, many knights were wearing steel plate armor on top of chain mail.
The breastplate became more common from the mid-14th century CE. Curved and sometimes with an arrangement of flexible strips or hoops of metal at the waist (called a Fauld), they were attached using straps, buckles, or semicircular rivets. A simpler backplate might also be worn, which was attached to the front plate via hinges. Greaves covering the whole of the leg became common as well as a plate (called Sabaton) or metal scales covering the top of the foot.
From the second quarter of the 15th century CE, the typical knight was covered from head to foot in steel or iron plate armor, which closely followed the contours of the body. Replacing the undercoat of chain mail was a more comfortable padded clothing (called Gambeson) with some short pieces of mail at such exposed parts as the under and inner arms.
This is where we begin our process to hand forge your armor and ship it out of Europe, today.

WEAPONS
There are different styles to choose from when it comes to what kind of armor you wear into combat. However, whatever armor you choose, your weapon style has to be authentic and from the same period. There is a little slack with this rule, a 50-year window. But regardless, your armor and weapons have to be consistent. The weapons sets are sword and board, double-handed weapons, and polearm.
